Calibri was designed by Luc de Groot between 2002 and 2004, then released publicly via Microsoft Office 2007 & Windows Vista in 2007. De Groot described its subtle circular structure as being both “heat smooth and smooth”. Calibri became part of Windows Vista’s ClearType Font Selection collection of fonts created by various designers.
All fonts designed with Microsoft’s ClearType text rendering technology begin with the letter C to indicate this fact, making text easier to read when displayed on liquid LCD screens. Other fonts belonging to this group include Cambria, Candara, Consolas Constantia and Corbel.

Thank you for this upload. Calibri is an essential font for those who use LibreOffice on Linux. Without having the Calibri font installed, documents created on Windows appear horrible when you open them on Linux.
