Crimson Font Family

Crimson font family was designed with both body text and headlines in mind, particularly for book production in classic gorgeous types. Please try the other fantastic free fonts, but there is no Garamond-inspired font with all the features: oldstyle designs, small caps with number variants, fleurons, maths characters, and the like.

In fact, most of the time it’s free imitations of “standards” that aren’t worth the cod they’re made from. The great work of artists like Jan Tschichold, Robert Slimbach and Jonathan Hoefler inspires Crimson Text. We believe that the community of free type will be able to enjoy Crimson Text’s full range of capabilities as a design. You can use this font for personal and commercial use.
