Martel Font Family

Martel is an open-source font development project. Launched at the Department of Typography & Graphic Communication of University of Reading in 2008, Martel became available in 2014 in its first weights (Martel UltraLight and Light Regular DemiBold).

Dan Reynolds has developed all Devanagari symbols used today while Merriweather fonts were utilized to produce Latin script.

Martel Devanagari font is designed for documents requiring an immersive style. This typeface can be used for long texts written in Devanagari languages such as Hindi, Marathi and Nepali.

This font is free for personal and commercial use.
