PT Sans is a typeface which was developed for use within the program Public Kinds of the Russian Federation. A related family known as PT Serif is also available; both fonts can be redistributed free-of-charge and under a license-free model, thus helping Russians read and write in their native tongue.
This task honors the 300th year since Peter the Great’s designs for civil use were produced during 1708-1710. This event was made possible with financial sponsorship from Russian Federal Company for Press and Mass Communications; fonts include Western, Central European, Cyrillic codes along with alphabets for every language within Russia’s boundaries.
