Kabel was created by German designer Rudolf Koch and published as a sans-serif font in 1927 by him and published. Kabel was an “geometric sans-serif” type popular at that time in Germany; its basic structure includes circles with straight lines but it features several other unique aspects including small x height (though bigger in bold bodyweight), an angled “e”, and tilted letters “e”.
