Rasa Font Family

Rasa is a language editor that supports 45 different languages, such as Latin script and Gujarati script, along with Gujarati and Kachchi scripts. Although Yrsa is the only version available in Latin script, Rasa acts as a superset which includes modified versions of Yrsa that better suit Gujarati designs. Anna Giedrys and David Brezina spearheaded its development.

Yrsa and Rasa is distinguished by its design approach: this experiment in repurposing old fonts to produce something entirely new is what sets it apart; Eben Srkin’s Merriweather set the Latin tone, while David Brezina introduced Skolar Gujarati for Gujarati script. Rosetta Type oversees this European type foundry’s project of creating this font family.
