Boogaloo was created in 2010 as an โanswerโ to the existing typeface Salsa and, at the same time, as a logical extension of the same Latin American music styles and culture, from which the attentive eye of the designer sees lettering and the lettering of the old American fashion.
This is a structure familiar to the American lettering of the last century, which found its use on the covers of the old LPs of the same 1960s, the time of deep spread of Latin music in the United States and the time preceding the birth of the Salsa phenomenon as a musical one.
In general, Boogaloo can be used in texts that should remind readers about the 1960s, about the time of the flourishing of Latin music. This lettering always moves, is always cool in all its possibilities and brings a good, almost childlike, happiness.
