Altone was designed to achieve regularity and traditional geometric sans serif typefaces that are readily recognizable to readers, with an easy readability that spans across applications and uses. It boasts an easily recognisable geometric form with easily recognisable letterforms; making Altone suitable for broad use ranging from straightforward writing to bold statements with its geometric apex reminiscent of Grotesk instead of classical Bauhaus styles; its letterforms more likely reminiscent of Grotesk than Bauhaus styles; its proportional widths with proportional widths at its apex as well as open apertures with straight cut stroke ends makes this typeface even more recognizable among its readers.
