CAMELION is a project by our friend SANDRINE NUGUE in 2024. We have always admired her beautiful work, in particular, INFINI (2015) and ORIENTATION (Commercial Type, 2018) types. We are delighted to have this typeface, distills of her characteristic drawing acumin and bias towards humanist form into a razor sharpe text face. Free and sharp Camelion makes a very readable paragraph, without losing home and humanness.
I adore Camelion since I would never draw it, however, I love to use it. It can be traced as a slanted roman and upright italic, inverting the characteristics of these standard functions in an amusing and profane manner. –James Edmondson, August 2024.
