Codec Warm, Cold was designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini and Francesco Canovaro with Andrea Tartarelli to be an geometric sans serif type system inspired by constructivist logic of Futura fonts. As with other modern fonts that draw their inspiration from this constructivist design principle, its design is determined by decisions between strict geometric perfection and minimal humanist corrections.
However, Codec offers two fonts built upon the same skeleton to help solve this problem in an organized fashion.
