Compass Next was first developed as the 3rd version in 2002 following Compass TRF which served as the “geometric Didone”. Specifically, rulers, compasses, and other tools used for drawing letters directly on paper were utilized to develop it.
For version 2, two new designs (2009) were included – Flourish Initials and Small Caps to make geometric expression more conventional while all glyphs (including those featuring decorative styles ) have also been revised along with adding Bold weight as an optional choice.
This typeface is in OpenType format and supports most Latin languages.
