Cuprum Font Family

Cuprum was completed in 2006 by a design team consisting of Miles Newlyn. A narrow grotesque, Cuprum is adaptable to many different purposes. Most of the fonts of this time I do not like myself, much regret it. So nowadays we’ve had a lot better experiences, those are the typefaces that I think I am proudest of.

It would be of interest to trace the ancestry of this name. Cu pbr is Latin for copper, unlike aurum (gold) and argentum (silver). Copper is too aristocratic, but cheaper than tin. Furthermore copper never enters into coinage – only copper pots may be used.
