Iwona is a sans serif typeface designed for a diploma in typeface design at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1975.
The Iwona fonts are an alternative version of the Kurier fonts. Kurier was designed for linotype typesetting of newspapers and similar periodicals.
The difference lies in the absence of ink traps which typify the Kurier font.
