Ropa Sans Font Family

Ropa Sans is an open source offshoot of the Ropa Sans Pro family. Ropa Sans Pro consists of 8 weights plus extra designed italics and small-caps, with extensive coverage of Latin and essential coverage of Cyrillic and Greek scripts. It can be found at lettersoup.de, where it’s sold as a commercial typeface.

This Open Font License version of Ropa Sans contains regular weight and matching italic, including Latin-based languages only.

The upright styles of Ropa Sans pay respect from a distance of DIN, a technical aesthetic rather popular in the early 20th century. Meanwhile, its curvilinear Italics give life into a new mode Ropa Sans conveys an individual flavour. Bold ink-traps also necessitated almost all the shapes of the standard Roman being retooled for this uncommon Italic.
