Benton Sans is an electronic font designed by Tobias Frere Jones in 1995 and developed through Font Bureau with Cyrus Highsmith’s assistance. Frere-Jones utilized Morris Fuller Benton’s News Gothic typeface from 1908 as inspiration in order to develop his own typeface that shared its framework.
Benton Gothic was initially developed for Martha Stewart Dwelling magazine and its website, Martha Stewart Dwelling Omnimedia, under its previous moniker of MSL Gothic. There are seven weight options ranging from Skinny through Black as well as two width choices available to users.
