Frutiger (pronounced), one of several typefaces named in honor of its Swiss creator Adrian Frutiger, is typically a sans-serif humanist font designed to be easily legible from distance or small text sizes.
Popular worldwide design and style created by Steve Matteson for use with smaller font sizes, this typeface has become widely adopted across cultures. Spiekermann famously called it the most basic typeface ever to exist!
Frutiger family designs do not exclusively adhere to geometric or humanist aesthetics. Each character in this family can easily and quickly be identified – which makes it perfect for display and signage purposes.
